Müggelsee
Berlin's largest lake — lidos, sailing boats, Müggelturm. In summer the capital's best recreational area.
The Müggelsee is Berlin's largest lake and the local recreation spot in the city's south-east. Swimming, sailing, stand-up paddling and shoreline walks are all on offer; the Müggelturm gives a fine view over lake and forests.
The lake lies in Treptow-Köpenick, around 40 minutes from the centre by S-Bahn (S3) and bus. It combines well with Köpenick's historic old town and a boat tour on the Spree and Dahme.
