Checkpoint Charlie
Most famous Cold War border crossing. Today an open-air exhibition with the Mauermuseum right next door.
Checkpoint Charlie was the best-known Cold War border crossing and today is an open-air exhibition in the middle of the city. To go deeper, the Mauermuseum is right next door and Wall documentation sites are nearby.
The site is central in Mitte, near Friedrichstraße; the U6 stations are a few steps away. It combines well with Gendarmenmarkt and Unter den Linden.
